{"id":2266,"date":"2007-07-02T12:33:00","date_gmt":"2007-07-02T17:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.1.5\/gardens\/gardenlog\/?p=2266"},"modified":"2017-07-19T14:49:39","modified_gmt":"2017-07-19T19:49:39","slug":"summer-harvest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.zanthan.com\/gardens\/garden-essays\/summer-harvest\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer Harvest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We made a dinner of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella (from Central Market), salami, and southern burgundy walnut bread (also from Central Market).<\/p>\n<p>The yellow tomato &#8216;Persimmon&#8217; was the best tomato I&#8217;ve ever eaten in my life. It was both tart and tomato-y. The texture was fantastic, almost like a ripe mango (but not stringy). It was all flavorful flesh and very little gelatin.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8216;Black Krim&#8217; continues to be a disappointment. Two of the five that had ripene. ended up having split without my noticing and were rotten. For the most part they make a very pretty fruit but they seem watery and bland.
