rose ‘Mermaid’
2008-04-20. rose ‘Mermaid’.
This rose was a lovely monster. It climbed trees looking for light but it never found enough of it. It would die back but then struggle to send out new shoots each spring. Its huge flowers glowed in the moonlight. I miss it and regret that I couldn’t give it a sunny spot in my shady yard. It deserved better.
