Miso Shiro

I received an order from Daedalus. The temptation to curl up with new books is great. But it's the first clear day we've had in a week, so I force myself to keep my resolve and bicycle downtown.

I stop at a hardware store and price to-ishi and kanna. There is a truly beautiful plane for 5000 yen. Do I need it? Well. It's heirloom quality. Has JQS, who will inherit it, also inherited the prerequisite love of woodworking?

I ate at my favorite Japanese restaurant on the fourth floor of the Cosmopia. I order tempura teishoku and a bottle of Kirin lager. James Villas's love of onion soup cannot match my love for this miso shiro.
