Migration
Posted in admin on 07/29/2009 02:11 pm by M Sinclair StevensApproaching the 20th anniversary of our adventure in Japan, I have decided to migrate nipponDAZE from Movable Type (where it has been dormant these last two years) to WordPress.
The archives of the original Movable Type blog, written from 2001-2007, are still available.
Migration Notes
- 2009-08-01. Started with the Theme:oriental and made some minor tweaks to it. Right now I want to focus on content not design.
Like Google, this site will not support IE6. Upgrade, people. Upgrade! - 2009-08-02. It really annoys me that I can’t change the headings on the calendar to be Japanese because it depends on the localization. I don’t want to change my locale. I just want to be able to control when and where I use Japanese characters.
- 2009-08-11. Decide to separate out the topic-centered posts originally written in Movable Type. Some of those are about specific events so they will have the actually event date. But I want to keep the diary entries more of an overview of each day.
