I recently noticed that this had become a real problem on my blog. Deleting the damm things manually and setting the Allow Pings flag to false takes too long so I wrote a perl script that automates the procedure. I'm linking to it here in the hope that it might help out other people. Unfortunately it's more of a starting point than a finished product, and if you're happy with just a starting point you could probably write your own script anyway. DePing.pl
